Effective date: November 1, 2026
1. These terms
These terms apply to your use of coherenceinstitute.org and app.coherenceinstitute.org (the “site”), operated by Coherence Psychology Institute, LLC, a California limited liability company, 1035 San Pablo Ave., Suite 9, Albany, California 94706, USA (mailing address: 64 Bleecker Street #253, New York, NY 10012) (“CPI”, “we”, “us”). By using the site, buying a product or enrolling in a training you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
2. Accounts
An account is created for you when you make a purchase or enroll. You sign in with a link sent to your email address. Keep your email account secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. Contact us if you believe it has been used without your permission.
3. Store products (eBooks, clinical notes, courses, videos, recordings)
- License. Products are licensed, not sold. An individual license is for your personal use only: you may not share, copy, post, resell or otherwise distribute the files or the access to them. Where a group license is offered, it covers the number of named users stated at purchase and no more. Institutional use requires written agreement with CPI.
- Who may license video products. Some video products are restricted to professional providers of mental health and psychological wellness services, professional coaches, and graduate students training for those professions. By purchasing you confirm that you qualify. Violation of these terms results in cancellation of the license and access without refund.
- Watermarking. Licensed videos are watermarked and playback is tied to your account.
- Prices and payment. Prices are in US dollars. Store purchases are processed by Paddle.com, which is the merchant of record for those transactions and issues your receipt; applicable taxes are calculated at checkout.
- Refunds. eBooks and ePapers (such as the Clinical Notes) are non-refundable once accessed, except where required by law; if you have a problem accessing a purchase, contact cust-svc@coherenceinstitute.org and we will put it right. For videos, webinars and online courses, a refund request will be honored if it is sent within 30 days of purchase by email titled “Refund request” to cust-svc@coherenceinstitute.org with the order number, the name of the item, and a specific explanation of why you do not want the item; when a refund is issued, access to the item is removed from your account. Store purchases are processed by Paddle, whose own buyer terms also apply.
4. Training (practicums, consultation, assessment, certification)
- Enrollment is requested through the sign-up forms on the site and confirmed through your account, where you review and sign the training agreement and pay tuition.
- Tuition, cancellation and refund terms for each training are stated on its sign-up page and in the agreement you sign; those terms govern in case of any difference with this page.
- Training tuition is paid through PayPal.
- Trainings are professional education; they are not psychotherapy, supervision of clinical work, or a substitute for either.
5. Intellectual property
All content on the site and in our products — text, videos, recordings, documents, images and the Coherence Therapy materials — belongs to CPI or its licensors and is protected by copyright. Apart from the license you purchase, no rights are granted.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the site: no attempts to bypass access controls or watermarks, no scraping, no interfering with the service, and no use that is unlawful or infringes others’ rights.
7. Information on this site
Material on this site is for professional education and general information. It is not medical, psychological or legal advice, and using the site does not create a therapist–client relationship with CPI or any trainer. If you need help, consult a qualified professional.
8. Third-party links and services
The site links to other websites and uses third-party services (Paddle, PayPal, YouTube, Amazon, Routledge, Payloadz, among others). We are not responsible for their content or terms.
9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The site and products are provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CPI excludes all warranties and will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or products. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the product or training concerned.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, and disputes are subject to the courts located there, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections where you live.
11. Changes
We may update these terms; the effective date shows the latest version. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
